  1. Should Blue bin's be picked up every second week? My thoughts are we need to get the right things in the right bin first of all. Checking what we are putting in bins ensures that maximum amount can be recycled , reducing what goes to landfill and saving money the ratepayer.

Linda's responses to questions asked by Community Groups in 2014 election campaign

Stirling Community Library asked

    1. How do you see the role of the modern library in our AHC community?

    2. How do you see yourself, as a councillor, enhancing the Library's role in the community?

The role of the modern library in Adelaide Hills Council community should continue to be assess for all to books, internet and sharing of knowledge ,in a safe environment. It’s the sense of community I feel it’s vital we continue to develop through welcoming people, supporting events that share and develop knowledge and having the expectation that it’s a space for everyone. I see myself as a Councillor supporting initiatives that continue to build our community, I acknowledge the costs involved in having three library/customer service centres, I see all three centres as a vital link between community and Council.

A question asked at Kersbrook Resident Association meeting

What do you see the main challenges for the next Council?

I see the main challenges as being keeping rate rises to a minimum whilst maintaining infrastructure and services. Working with farmers, on the Primary Production Development Planning Amendment I see as a key project, its essential to ensure farmers are supported in growing food with associated value adding industry to support them to be sustainable. Keeping our town businesses is vital for the health of our towns and surrounds.
